We are pleased to announce that the Burgos–León stage has been successfully completed!
A very special thank you to Miguel Mato and his amazing Mula Romera, for his help, support, and for sponsoring the project. My very most gratitude to all the friends and family who joined us along the way, and to all of you who joined us from afar, for your financial support and for your messages, interest and encouragement throughout the journey.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dioceses of each province, to the priests of every church, and to everyone who made it possible for us to bring this project to their parishes. We are deeply grateful for the warm welcome we received and for all the generous support and help along the way.
A special thank you to Raquel Jaén, Director of the Museo de San Isidoro de León, for her support and for helping to make the presentation of the project in the magnificent Panteón Real possible.

Our pilgrimage from Burgos to León in photos …
A Brief Summary of Our Journey
For 17 days, we travelled along the Camino de Santiago, carrying on pilgrimage the twelve Sound Illuminations dedicated to the apostles depicted in the frescoes of the ossuary in Perschen. Each of the nine presentations was a unique experience, greatly enriched by our encounters with pilgrims and with the people of each place we visited. Thank you all of you.
In addition to presenting the twelve Sound Illuminations, this year we also introduced a concert. The concert is not an independent work, but rather the culmination of the sound installation that accompanies visitors throughout the day. The twelve Sound Illuminations, heard successively over the course of the day, come together in the concert as a single composition, where they enter into dialogue with new sonic materials inspired by nature. In this way, the concert does not replace the installation, but rather expands upon it, leading towards a broader and more unified listening experience.
Finally, since the condition of the road in some sections made it difficult to travel by cart, this year we decided to transport the equipment needed for the Sound Illuminations on the back of a mule. This was proposed by Miguel Mato, the local farmer who collaborates with the project, rents us the mule, and handles the logistics. As he says, mules are very strong, so it won’t be a problem at all, considering the weight of the equipment we’re carrying.
The experience was unforgettable, and we are already planning to continue our journey next year with another stage of the Camino.
And, of course, this project is open to everyone who would like to take part. You are all very welcome to come and join us!
